Sec. 815.004. OATH OF OFFICE.

(a)Before taking office as a member of the board of trustees, a person shall subscribe to the following oath of office: I do solemnly swear that I will, to the best of my ability, discharge the duties of a trustee of the employees retirement system, that I will diligently and honestly administer the affairs of the board of trustees of the retirement system, and that I will not knowingly violate or willingly permit to be violated any of the laws applicable to the retirement system.

(b)A person may subscribe to the oath of office before any officer qualified to administer oaths in the state and shall file the subscribed oath in the office of the secretary of state.
