Sec. 659.205. STATUS OF DEDUCTION OR SALARY REDUCTION.
(a)If so designated by the employing institution of higher education, a salary deduction made by an employee under this subchapter shall be considered compensation under this chapter and salary and wages and member compensation under Title 8.
(b)If authorized by federal law, a salary deduction or salary reduction under this subchapter may be made on a pretax basis.
