Sec. 659.085. DETERMINING AMOUNT OF MONTHLY OR HOURLY PAY; PROPORTIONATE REQUIREMENT FOR PART-TIME PAY.
(a)The amount of monthly salary for an annual employee who maintains a 40-hour workweek and is covered under Chapter 658 is computed in accordance with the General Appropriations Act and equitable rules adopted by the comptroller.
(b)For purposes of partial payment or other applicable situations, an employee's equivalent hourly rate of pay for a given month is computed in accordance with the General Appropriations Act and equitable rules adopted by the comptroller. Alternatively, an institution of higher education as defined by Section 61.003 , Education Code, may compute an employee's equivalent hourly rate of pay for a given month by dividing the employee's annual salary by 2080, whi
