Sec. 241.007. RUNOFF DELAYED.

(a)If a special election for which a runoff is necessary according to the official result is contested, the secretary of state shall promptly notify the governor in writing of the contest when the canvass is completed or the petition is received, whichever is later.
(b)The governor shall delay ordering the runoff pending the outcome of the contest.
