Text of article effective on April 01, 2027 Art. 49A.101. CREATION OF OFFICE REQUIRED IN CERTAIN COUNTIES; AUTHORITY TO ESTABLISH OFFICE. The commissioners court of a county with a population of more than 2.5 million shall establish and maintain an office of medical examiner. The commissioners court of any other county may establish and maintain an office of medical examiner.
