Text
To carry out the purposes of this chapter, the department may do the following:
(1)Contract with persons outside the department as the commissioner deems necessary;
(2)Administer oaths;
(3)Issue subpoenas to compel the attendance of witnesses and the production of documents related to any investigation or hearing authorized by this chapter and secure enforcement of such subpoenas by petition to the chancery court of Davidson County; and (4) Maintain such action or proceeding at law or in equity as the commissioner considers necessary or appropriate to secure compliance with this chapter and the rules, regulations and orders issued hereunder.
