Text
The notification requirements of the secretary of state pursuant to this part only apply to any act passed by the general assembly which:
(1)Does not amend the general law;
(2)Within the body of the act, names and specifically only applies to the named municipality or county; and (3) In the effective date, pursuant to the Constitution of Tennessee, Article XI, § 9, requires a two-thirds (2/3) vote of the legislative body of the specifically named municipality or county to approve or disapprove the act, or requires approval or disapproval of the act in an election by a majority of those voting in the election in the municipality or county affected.
