§ 8-27-502 — Committee to carry out law - Insurance contracts - Approval - Modifications

(a)In counties desiring to provide such insurance coverage for employees and officials, the county legislative body or other governing body of the county shall appoint a committee of the county legislative body or other governing body of the county to carry out the intent of this part.
(b)Such committee shall prepare and present for approval a contract or contracts with one (1) or more insurance companies, or other corporations which may exist under title 56, chapter 27, 28, or 29 authorized to do business in the state, or with one (1) or more insurance trusts which have contracted with an insurance company, or companies, or corporation, as set out above, authorized to do business in the state for a policy or policies of group insurance to provide for the payment of group life, hospitali
