An online notary public:
(1)Is a notary public for purposes of this chapter, is subject to this chapter, and must be appointed and commissioned as a notary public under this chapter;
(2)May perform notarial acts as provided in part 1 of this chapter; and (3) May perform an online notarization, without regard to the physical location of the principal, if the notary is physically located in this state.
