(a)Cooperatives and foreign corporations engaged in rendering telephone service in this state pursuant to this chapter fall within the jurisdiction of the Tennessee public utility commission for the sole and specific purposes as set out below:
(1)The establishment of territorial boundaries;
(2)The hearing and determining of disputes arising between one (1) telephone cooperative and other telephone cooperatives, and between telephone cooperatives and any other type of person, corporation, association, or partnership rendering telephone service, relative to and concerning territorial disputes; and (3) The approval of sales and purchases of operating telephone properties.
