Text

(a)If a prior authorization is required for a healthcare service for the treatment of a chronic condition of an enrollee, then the prior authorization remains valid for at least six (6) months, from the date the healthcare professional or provider receives the prior authorization approval, unless the clinical criteria as specified in § 56-7-3707 state otherwise.
(b)If prior authorization is required for a prescription drug for the treatment of a chronic condition of an enrollee, then the prior authorization remains valid for at least six (6) months from the date the healthcare professional or provider receives the prior authorization approval, unless the clinical criteria as specified in § 56-7-3707 state otherwise.
