§ 52-8-103 — Powers and duties of the commission

Text

(a)The commission shall:
(1)Advise the department on matters relating to the development and execution of programs and services for older adults and adults with disabilities administered by the department as enumerated in this title;
(2)Meet as necessary to transact business; provided, that meetings must be held at least quarterly;
(3)Promulgate bylaws to provide for the election of officers, establishment of committees, meetings, and other matters relating to commission functions; and (4) Elect a chair, vice chair, and three (3) representatives, one (1) from each of the three (3) grand divisions, who shall comprise the executive committee to function between quarterly meetings.
(b)In addition to the duties otherwise granted to the commission in this part, the commission may:
