If a person is admitted to a hospital or residential service on the application of any person other than the person's parent, legal guardian, legal custodian, conservator, spouse or adult next of kin, the chief officer shall immediately notify the person's parent, legal guardian, legal custodian, conservator, spouse, or adult next of kin, if known.
