Text

No election may be held in any municipality, or ward thereof, if:

(1)The number of nominating petitions filed for each vacant position to be filled does not exceed the number of vacancies; and (2) No other question is to be submitted to the voters. The auditor or clerk shall issue certificates of election to the unopposed nominees, if any, in the same manner as to successful candidates after election.
