§ 9-12-6 — Designation of newspaper.

South Dakota·Title 9 MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT·Ch. 9-5 GENERAL POWERS OF MUNICIPALITIES
Each municipality shall designate at a meeting of its governing body an official newspaper or newspapers, for all legal and other official notices that must be published by law, for a period of time, not to be less than twelve months, specified by the governing body in a resolution. The newspaper must be published in the municipality. If no newspaper is published in the municipality, the municipality shall comply with the requirements provided in § 17-2-11 .
