The first meeting of the commission shall be called by the president of the South Dakota Association of County Officials. At the first meeting, the commission shall elect from among its members a chair and other officers as it considers necessary or appropriate and each meeting is subject to the open meeting requirements pursuant to chapter 1-25 . The commission shall at least meet annually or as often as deemed necessary. Unless otherwise directed by the commission, the South Dakota Association of County Officials shall provide support services as needed for the commission to carry out its duties, including meeting space and teleconferencing.
