Text

No register of deeds may accept for record or record any plat of any subdivision or rearrangement of any tract of land unless it is accompanied by the certificate of the county treasurer that all taxes which are liens upon the tract so subdivided have been fully paid. This section does not apply to plats of outlots made by the county auditor for purposes of taxation of the property platted. This section does not apply to plats made by the state highway engineer or any registered land surveyor in the employ of the state transportation department, for the purpose of describing rights of way purchased or to be purchased by the state transportation department. This section does not apply to plats made to enable the sale or transfer of centrally assessed railroad property as defined by § 10-28-
