Text

A state's attorney shall be elected in each organized county of this state at each general election, who shall qualify by taking the oath of office and giving a bond as provided by law. No person shall be eligible to the Office of State's Attorney who is not duly licensed to practice as an attorney and counselor at law by the Supreme Court of this state.
