§ 43-30A-1 — "Mineral interest" defined.

South Dakota·Title 43 PROPERTY·Ch. 43-30A ABANDONED MINERAL INTERESTS
In this chapter, unless context otherwise requires, the term, "mineral interest," includes any interest in oil, gas, coal, clay, gravel, uranium, and all other minerals of any kind and nature, whether created by grant, assignment, exception, reservation, or otherwise, owned by a person other than the owner of the surface estate.
