At the next succeeding term of such court or at any subsequent term to which the same may be continued, such action shall be brought on for final determination upon the report and survey of said commissioners and the court may adopt or modify the same so as to allow each owner such proportion of such relicted land as he may be lawfully entitled to and enter judgment accordingly; a certified copy of which judgment, showing the area of such relicted land to which each owner is entitled, shall be recorded in the office of the register of deeds in each county where such land or any part thereof is situated. Proceedings for new trial and appeal may be had the same as in other civil cases.
