Text
A county board of mental illness holding a hearing pertaining to a minor's objection to admission to an inpatient psychiatric facility shall enter a finding regarding the minor's county of residence or a finding that the minor is not a resident of this state. A minor's county of residence shall be the same as his parent's county of residence. A determination of a parent's county of residence shall be based on the criteria of § 28-13-3 . If the minor's parents reside in different counties, the minor's county of residence shall be the same as the parent the minor most recently lived with. A hearing may be reopened with respect to the board's determination of a minor's county of residence under the requirements of § 27A-11A-14 .
