Text

The term of office of the members of the board shall be six years. The initial terms however shall be adjusted in the following manner: At the first meeting of the board, the initial terms of the eighteen representatives from the six counties shall be determined by lot with six of the members to serve a term of six years, six of the members to serve a term of four years, and six of the members to serve a term of two years. The Secretary of State shall be notified as to the terms established by lot. The term of each member shall expire on the January first nearest to the end of the term of years for which he is appointed or as otherwise provided in the foregoing provisions; provided, that each member shall serve until his successor is appointed and qualified.
