The board of trustees of any municipal hospital established under the provisions of this article may enter into agreement with the residents of any adjoining or nearby school district, including any portion of a school district outside the limits in which such city or town is located, to permit the residents of such district to use the hospital upon the same conditions, terms and rates as extended and established for residents of the municipality.
