§ 43-43-100 — Powers.

South Carolina·Title 43 SOCIAL SERVICES·Ch. 43 DILLON-MARION HUMAN RESOURCES COMMISSION

The commission is empowered:

(a)to sue and be sued;
(b)to adopt, use and alter a corporate seal;
(c)to make bylaws for the management and regulation of its affairs;
(d)to appoint agents, employees and servants, to prescribe their duties, to fix their compensation, to determine if and to what extent they shall be bonded for the faithful performance of their duties;
(e)to undertake the improvement of communication and co-operation among existing and future programs administered by federal, state, county and municipal governmental agencies and private organizations designed to improve the health, education, welfare, housing or employment of the low income residents of the counties represented by the commission and, with the consent of such agencies and organizations, to coordinate the sa
