(1)In this chapter unless the context otherwise requires:
(a)"Buyer" means a person who buys or contracts to buy goods.
(b)[Reserved].
(c)"Receipt" of goods means taking physical possession of them.
(d)"Seller" means a person who sells or contracts to sell goods.

HISTORY: 1962 Code SECTION 10.2-103; 1966 (54) 2716; 2014 Act No. 213 (S.343), SECTIONS 3, 4, eff October 1, 2014. Editor's Note 2014 Act No. 213, SECTION 51, provides as follows: "SECTION 51. This act becomes effective on October 1, 2014. It applies to transactions entered into and events occurring after that date." Effect of Amendment 2014 Act No. 213, SECTION 3, reserved subsection (1)(b), which formerly had defined "good faith". 2014 Act No. 213, SECTION 4, in the introductory text of subsection (3), inserted the definition of "control".
