Three or more persons desiring to form themselves into a corporation for the purpose of building and operating a railroad or for the purpose of carrying on a street railway, steamboat or canal business may file with the Secretary of State a written declaration and petition, signed by themselves, setting forth:
(1)The names and residences of the declarants;
(2)The name of the proposed corporation;
(3)The place at which it proposes to have its principal place of business;
(4)The general nature of the business it proposes to do, giving in detail all the powers and privileges which it proposes to assume or claim under the provisions of the Constitution and laws of the State and (a) in case of a railroad corporation, its termini and route and the counties, townships, cities and towns throug
