(A)Each recreational vehicle dealer must maintain complete records of each transaction under which a recreational vehicle is transferred for a period of not less than four years from the date of the transaction. The records must include the name and address of the person or persons from whom the recreational vehicle was acquired and the date of the transaction; a description of the vehicle, when transferred; the name and address of the person to whom the recreational vehicle was transferred; and the date of the transaction. The description of the recreational vehicle must include the vehicle identification number, make, model, type, and, if a motor home, the odometer readings at the time the recreational vehicle was transferred to and from the dealer. (A) Each recreational vehicle dealer must maintain complete records of each transaction under which a recreational vehicle is transferred for a period of not less than four years from the date of the transaction. Upon reasonable notice, these records must be made available to the department for inspection. (B) The records must be maintained in a reasonably organized fashion. Any records which are illegible or incapable of being accurately interpreted by either the record keeper or the department are not in compliance with this section. (C) A dealer who fails to keep or make available to the department required records upon reasonable request, is guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction, must be fined not less than fifty dollars nor more than two hundred dollars or imprisoned for not more than thirty days. The failure to keep or make available records on each separate recreational vehicle constitutes an offense.

The department is authorized to promulgate regulations for the enforcement of the provisions of Chapter 14, Title 56. "SECTION 7. This act takes effect six months after approval by the Governor and applies to manufacturer/dealer agreements entered into on or after July 1, 2018."
