§ 50-12-20 — Interstate Wildlife Violator Compact.

South Carolina·Title 50 FISH, GAME AND WATERCRAFT·Ch. 12 INTERSTATE WILDLIFE VIOLATOR COMPACT

The Interstate Wildlife Violator Compact is enacting into law and entered into with all other jurisdictions legally joining therein. The Department of Natural Resources shall execute all documents and perform all other acts necessary to carry out the provisions of the compact. ARTICLE I Findings, Declaration of Policy, and Purpose (A) The party states find that:

(1)Wildlife resources are managed in trust by the respective states for the benefit of all residents and visitors.
(2)The protection of their respective wildlife resources can be materially affected by the degree of compliance with state statute, law, regulation, ordinance, or administrative rule relating to the management of those resources.

HISTORY: 2011 Act No. 12, SECTION 1, eff April 12, 2012. Editor's Note 2011 Act No. 12, SECTIONS 2 and 3, provide as follows: "SECTION 2. The Department of Natural Resources is authorized to take all actions necessary to prepare for the implementation of this act including, but not limited to, the promulgation of regulations. "SECTION 3. This act takes effect one year after approval by the Governor, except Section 2 takes effect upon approval by the Governor."
