§ 6-11-2540 — Disconnection of service when public emergency exists.

South Carolina·Title 6 LOCAL GOVERNMENT—PROVISIONS APPLICABLE TO SPECIAL PURPOSE DISTRICTS AND OTHER POLITICAL SUBDIVISIONS·Ch. 11 SPECIAL PURPOSE OR PUBLIC SERVICE DISTRICTS GENERALLY
Notwithstanding another provision of this article, a special purpose or public service district furnishing electricity or natural gas to residents of this State may disconnect a customer when it is determined that a public safety emergency exists.
