§ 31-10-80 — Creation of joint redevelopment commission.

Two or more municipalities, whose territorial jurisdictions may be either exclusive or one of whose jurisdiction may include all or part of another are authorized to create a separate and distinct body corporate and politic to be known as the joint redevelopment commission by the passage of an ordinance by the governing body of each municipality having territorial jurisdiction over the area of operation proposed for such commission; provided, however, that notice of the intent to consider passage of such ordinance must be published at least fifteen days prior to the meeting of the governing body of each affected municipality. A joint redevelopment commission shall be governed by commissioners selected in the number and manner provided in the ordinance establishing such joint redevelopment
