§ 9-5-25. Exemption of voters from arrest.
All persons entitled to vote shall be protected from arrest in civil cases, on the
            days of election for city or town officers, and for state officers, representatives
            in congress, and electors of president and vice-president of the United States; and
            on the day preceding and the day following the election.
