§ 6-27-8. Severability.
If any provision of this chapter or the application of any provision of this chapter
            to any person or circumstance is held unconstitutional, the remainder of this chapter
            and the application of the provision to other persons or circumstances shall not be
            affected thereby, and it shall be conclusively presumed that the legislature would
            have enacted the remainder of this chapter without the invalid or unconstitutional
            provision.
