§ 40-1-3. Advisory committees to agencies within department.
The director of the department of human services shall be authorized to appoint advisory
            committees as he or she thinks appropriate to make suggestions to and to advise the
            various agencies within the department. The members of the committees shall serve
            without pay. The chairperson of each committee shall be designated by the director
            and shall sit ex-officio with the department advisory committee.
