§ 36-4-58. Severability.
The provisions of this chapter and chapter 3 of this title shall be severable, and
            if any of the provisions shall be held to be invalid, the decision of the court respecting
            the provision or provisions shall not affect the validity of any other provisions
            which can be given effect without the invalid provisions. It is hereby declared to
            be the legislative intent that this chapter and chapter 3 would have been adopted
            by the general assembly had the invalid provisions not been included in this chapter.
