§ 33-21A-3. Proceeding to adjudicate escheat.

(a) The general treasurer may bring proceedings in the superior court for Providence and Bristol counties to escheat unclaimed postal savings system accounts held by the United States treasury department. A single proceeding may be used to escheat as many accounts as may be available for escheat at one time.

(b) If the superior court shall find that the notice required by § 33-21A-4 has been duly given not less than twenty (20) days prior to the date of hearing and that no claim to an account has been made (which findings may be supported solely by the affidavit
