§ 3-7-16.7. Class AS license.

A retailer's Class AS license may be issued within the state by the local licensing authority and authorizes the licensee to sell at retail, wines purchased from a Rhode Island licensed wholesaler, to be used for sacramental purposes only, to any duly ordained priest, minister or rabbi or to any church or religious society. The label on the bottle shall designate "for sacramental or altar purposes only.� The holder of a Class A license is also authorized to sell at retail, sacramental wines to be used for sacramental purposes.
