§ 21-28.2-1. Definitions.

Unless the context otherwise requires, the following terms shall be construed in this chapter to have the following meanings:

(1) "Department� means the department of health.

(2) "Director� means the director of the department of health.

(3) "Narcotic addictâ€� means a person who is at the time of examination dependent upon opium, heroin, morphine, or any derivative or synthetic drug of that group or any other narcotic drug as defined in § 21-28-1.02, or a depressant or stimulant substance, or who by reason of
