§ 12-9-31. Filing of consent — Delivery of prisoner to extradition agents.

If and when consent pursuant to § 12-9-30 has been duly executed it shall be immediately forwarded to the office of the governor of this state and filed in that office. The judge shall direct the officer having the person in custody to immediately deliver the person to the duly accredited agent or agents of the demanding state and shall deliver or cause to be delivered to the agent or agents a copy of his or her consent; provided, that nothing in this section and § 12-9-30 shall be deemed to limit the rights of the accused person to return voluntarily and without formality to
