§ 12-13-9. Commitment of juveniles on failure to give recognizance.
Any accused person, under the age of eighteen (18) years, who shall be required by any court to enter into recognizance for his or her appearance before any court and shall not give the recognizance may, at the discretion of the court, be committed to the state training school for youth, there to remain until the required recognizance is given or he or she is otherwise discharged by law. The warrant or mittimus for the commitment of any the accused person to the school shall be, as nearly as the object of the commitment will admit, in the form prescribed in § 12-19-27 for the commit
