§ 12-13-22. Recordation of recognizance — Lien.

(a) Each recognizance with surety or sureties given in the supreme or superior court shall be recorded by the department of attorney general, and each recognizance with surety or sureties given in the family or district court shall be recorded by the clerk of the courts, within seven (7) days of acceptance of the recognizance by the court, in the office of land records in the city or town in which the real estate pledged as security is located.
