§ 12-12-1.11. "Indictmentâ€� construed.
Whenever "indictmentâ€� appears in the general or public laws or in rules of court,
            it includes the expression "information filed by the attorney general or one of the
            attorney general's designated assistants,â€� except where ascribing that meaning to
            the term "indictmentâ€� is inconsistent with the intent or the manner in which the term
            was used or otherwise is inappropriate.
