§ 10-9-6. Return to Providence superior court when other courts not in session.
If the writ is returnable to the supreme court and the court is not in session upon
            the return of the writ, it shall be returned to, and action on the writ be had by
            the superior court at Providence. If returnable to the superior court for either Newport,
            Kent, or Washington county, and the court is not in session upon its return, it shall
            be returned to the superior court at Providence.
