§ 1305 — Application for registration

(a)General rule.--Application for the registration of a vehicle shall be made to the department upon the appropriate form or forms furnished by the department. The application shall contain the full name and address of the owner or owners; the make, model, year and vehicle identification number of the vehicle; and such other information as the department may require. Program participants in the Address Confidentiality Program under 23 Pa.C.S. Ch. 67 (relating to domestic and sexual violence victim address confidentiality) may use a substitute address designated by the Office of Victim Advocate as their address. Applicants for registration of a truck, truck tractor, trailer or bus shall provide the vehicle's Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR), or the Gross Combination Weight Rating (GCWR),
