§ 7102 — Definitions

The following words and phrases when used in this chapter shall have the meanings given to them in this section unless the context clearly indicates otherwise: "Accident and health insurance."A contract that incorporates morbidity risk and provides protection against economic loss resulting from accident, sickness or medical conditions and as may be specified in the valuation manual. "Appointed actuary."A qualified actuary who is appointed in accordance with the valuation manual to prepare the actuarial opinion required by section 7114 (relating to actuarial opinion of reserves on or after operative date of valuation manual). "Commissioner."The Insurance Commissioner of the Commonwealth. "Company."An entity, including a fraternal benefit society, that:
