The following words and phrases when used in this chapter shall have the meanings given to them in this section unless the context clearly indicates otherwise: "Award."The Keystone First Responder Award awarded under this subchapter. "Emergency medical services provider."As defined in section 8103 (relating to definitions). "First responder."Any of the following:
(1)An emergency medical services provider, firefighter or member of a rescue company.
(2)A peace officer.
(3)A 911 dispatcher.
(4)A coroner or medical examiner who responds in an official capacity to an emergency.
(5)A corrections officer.
(6)A Federal law enforcement officer.
(7)A county or local emergency management coordinator.
