As used in ORS 410.505 to 410.545:
(1)“Admission assessment” means a professional program that provides an assessment of the long term care needs of persons applying for or considering admission to an intermediate care facility or who have remained in a skilled nursing facility for more than 30 days, and who are not or do not appear to be Medicaid eligible. The program includes providing information regarding appropriate service and placement alternatives, including nursing facilities and community-based options. The program includes all services necessary to comply with the minimum federal criteria for preadmission screening established by the Health Care Financing Administration under the Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1987.
