§ 83-119 — Measurement standards for retail sales of natural gas.

A.The Department of Labor shall adopt rules and procedures requiring that retail sales to the public of compressed natural gas and liquefied natural gas used as a motor vehicle fuel are dispensed in the following manner: 1. Compressed natural gas (CNG) shall be dispensed in gasoline gallon equivalent (GGE) units. A GGE of CNG shall initially be set at 5.66 (five and sixty-six hundredths) pounds and shall remain at that level until changed by the Department through the administrative rules process; and 2. Liquefied natural gas (LNG) shall be dispensed in diesel gallon equivalent (DGE) units. A DGE of LNG shall initially be set at 6.06 (six and six-hundredths) pounds and shall remain at this level until changed by the Department through the administrative rules process.
