Text
The governing board of a regional transportation improvement project may submit a written request to the director of transportation for the assistance of the department of transportation in any or all aspects, components, or phases of that project. Upon receipt of such a request, the director may require the board to submit documentation to substantiate that the board has sufficient resources to fund the board's share of the project. If the director determines that the board has sufficient resources, the director may make available to the board resources of the department, including funding or equipment, as may be necessary to fulfill the request. The director, in the director's discretion, may elect to assign any or all of any post-construction management responsibilities for the project
