Nothing contained in sections4933.81to4933.90of the Revised Code shall be construed to affect the right of municipal corporations to generate, transmit, distribute, or sell electric energy. The rights and powers of municipal corporations as they exist on or after the effective date of this section to acquire, construct, own, lease, or operate in any manner a public utility or to supply the service or product by means of a rate ordinance adopted under section743.26of the Revised Code or under Section 4, Article XVIII, Ohio Constitution in any portion of the state is not affected by sections4933.81to4933.90of the Revised Code.
