(A)(1) If a genetic counselor violates any section of this chapter other than section4778.06of the Revised Code or violates any rule adopted under this chapter, the state medical board may, pursuant to an adjudication under Chapter 119. of the Revised Code and an affirmative vote of not fewer than six of its members, impose a civil penalty. The amount of the civil penalty shall be determined by the board in accordance with guidelines adopted under division (A)(2) of this section. The civil penalty may be in addition to any other action the board may take under section4778.14of the Revised Code.
(2)The board shall adopt and may amend guidelines regarding the amounts of civil penalties to be imposed under this section. Adoption or amendment of the guidelines requires the approval of not fe
